# Stowzilla Labs > Stowzilla Labs is the engineering services arm of Stowzilla, Inc., a small, founder-led software company in Tampa, Florida. We build AI agents and AI-powered applications (including on Amazon Bedrock), AWS serverless systems, Terraform and CDK infrastructure, Ruby and Rails backends, React web apps, and native iOS and Android apps. We run our own production business on the same stack and publish the tools we built for it as open source. Founders Adam Dalton and Andy Davis met in 2009 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, building ground-support software for launch services in Ruby. Contact: contact@stowzilla.com. We reply within two business days. US-based team. We work with startups, established businesses, government agencies, and prime contractors. ## Services - AI agents and Amazon Bedrock: agentic applications with tools, memory, retrieval over your own data, guardrails, evaluations, and human approval steps. - AWS serverless architecture: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions, and CloudFront, with cost control built in. - Terraform and AWS CDK: environments, CI/CD, and AWS accounts as code. - Ruby and Rails: Ruby APIs, Rails applications and upgrades, and Rails-style serverless systems. - Web, iOS, and Android apps: React web apps and native mobile apps, including offline field workflows. - Rapid prototypes and MVPs: working products in weeks, on production infrastructure. ## How engagements work - Paid discovery: 1-3 weeks, fixed price, delivering an architecture, estimate, and prototype. - Build sprint: fixed scope and fixed price, with milestones. - Embedded senior engineers: monthly retainer or hourly. - Clients own all code, infrastructure, and accounts. ## Proof: what we have built and run - Stowzilla platform: we run a storage company. It needed customer logins, staff logins, inventory, a lot of photos, AI to say what's in them, search that actually works, and a support desk — so we built all of that on AWS. The open-source tools below are the pieces we'd built that clients kept asking us for. Built on React, Ruby, and AWS. - Brainiac (https://github.com/stowzilla/brainiac): agent orchestration platform. Named AI agents with memory that work in GitHub, Discord, email, and project tools. - Belt (https://belt.dev): Rails-style serverless application framework for Ruby on AWS Lambda. - Conveyor Belt (https://registry.terraform.io/providers/stowzilla/conveyor-belt/latest): Terraform provider that turns a Ruby routes file into Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, alarms, and domains. - ActiveItem (https://github.com/stowzilla/activeitem): ActiveRecord-style models for DynamoDB. - S3arch (https://github.com/stowzilla/s3arch): low-cost full-text search across S3. - FeatureParity (https://featureparity.dev): ship a feature once and prove it on web, iOS, Android, and the API, with test evidence in CI. Coming soon — not yet open for signup. - Ruby Central spotlight, Aug 2026 (https://rubycentral.org/news/ruby-runway-spotlight-stowzilla/): Stowzilla in the inaugural Ruby Runway Showcase. ## Links - Website: https://labs.stowzilla.com/ - GitHub: https://github.com/stowzilla
