Build better software that gets delivered faster.

We help businesses build customer-facing applications with AI built into the product—from focused chat and search to agentic workflows that act across systems. We also modernize cloud infrastructure and automate the work behind the scenes.

[ OUR APPROACH ]

Tools we built in production give you a head start on your project.

We’re founders. We care about how quickly we can ship, what it costs, and whether customers use what we build. These tools came out of that work. We run our business on them, so we have a pretty strong incentive to get them right.

When you hire us, you get the benefit of what we've already built and learned. Less time setting up infrastructure and deployment means more of your budget goes into your product. You get it into customers' hands sooner, learn what matters, and make the next version better.

Belt, Conveyor Belt, and ActiveItem are the libraries we wrote for Lambda and DynamoDB. Brainiac is how we build the rest.

[ THE WORK ]

Ship faster. Run reliably. Keep your cloud bill under control.

What we have built.

Stowzilla mark

01Storage platform

Stowzilla

We run a storage company.

It needed customer logins, staff logins, inventory, a lot of photos, AI to say what's in them, search that actually works, and a support desk. So we built all of that on AWS. Then we noticed we'd built most of what clients keep asking us for. That's what the tools below are.

02AI agents

Brainiac

Agents with names, memory, and a job.

They keep project history, share technical notes, and work in GitHub, Discord, email, and project tools.

03Ruby framework

Belt

Rails-style apps on AWS Lambda.

Controllers, routing, strong parameters, logging, and DynamoDB models. Familiar structure, Lambda runtime.

04Terraform provider

Conveyor Belt

Ships Belt apps to AWS.

Reads a routes file and creates Lambda functions, API Gateway, IAM policies, alarms, and domains. A single terraform apply.

05DynamoDB library

ActiveItem

ActiveRecord-style models for DynamoDB.

Validations, callbacks, associations, indexed queries, pagination, transactions, and value objects.

Ship a feature once. Prove it everywhere.

One requirement, checked on web, iOS, Android, and the API, with test evidence attached. When a surface falls behind, CI fails before your customers find the gap.

07Search tool

S3arch

Full-text search across S3 buckets.

Scans objects in S3, indexes their content, and lets you search by keyword. Handles text, JSON, CSV, and more.

Common questions / direct answers

[ GOOD TO KNOW ]

Straight answers before we start.

Choosing an engineering partner should not require decoding a wall of agency jargon. Here is what we build, how we put AI inside products, where our specialties fit, and when they do not.

  1. 01

    What does Stowzilla Labs build?

We design and build AI-powered products, customer-facing websites and web applications, native mobile apps, APIs, and internal operations systems. We can lead a new product build or work alongside an existing team.

  2. 02

Can you build AI into an application?

Yes. We build apps with AI built into the product, from focused chat, search, recommendations, and image analysis to agentic systems that reason over your data, call APIs and tools, and automate multi-step workflows with people in control. Separately, we use AI-assisted engineering to design, build, and ship software faster.

  3. 03

Do you develop Ruby applications on AWS?

Yes. We build Ruby APIs and serverless systems on AWS using services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront. We also modernize existing Ruby and cloud applications.

  4. 04

Does every project have to use Ruby or AWS?

No. We recommend technology based on the product, team, budget, and operational needs. AWS and Ruby are deep specialties, not requirements for every engagement.

  5. 05

Who does Stowzilla Labs work with?

We are based in Tampa, Florida and work with businesses that need to launch, modernize, or unstick a software product. A short project note is enough to begin; we reply within two business days.
